We are looking for an Import Operator for our client based in Leeds. This role involves managing the full journey for the transportation of goods from the Far East to the UK. The journey may involve Air, Sea, Road and Rail.
This role requires someone with previous experience in imports, ideally from a logistics business. This is a fast paced role so we are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and great at building relationships.

Main duties to include;
- Booking a pricing shipments from the Far East to the UK
- Build relationships with carriers and obtain the best prices
- Ensure all shipments have the correct documentation and customs entries
- Keep customers informed of any changes to delivery dates
- Monitor shipments to ensure safe arrival
- Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure repeat business
We are looking for:
- Experience in an imports role
- An understanding of shipping documentation and customs declarations
- Experience in either sea or air freight
- A problem solver, someone who keeps calm under pressure and finds solutions
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong relationship building and customer service skills
