Assistive Technology Trainer - Hybrid role

Randstad Student Support is seeking an experienced Assistive Technology Trainer to provide training on assistive technology (software and hardware) to University students and individuals based in the workplace, with disabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver tailored assistive technology training plans for university students and workplace professionals with disabilities
  • Provide individualised training sessions on a variety of assistive software and hardware
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate training records
  • Commit to ongoing professional development and potentially adjust to flexible working hours

Required:

  • Experience in teaching or training assistive technologies
  • Background in working with individuals with disabilities or specific learning differences
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with proficiency in MS Office
  • Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and quickly learn new assistive technologies

Desirable:

  • Experience working with students in higher education
  • Knowledge of specific learning difficulties like dyslexia, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders

Role Details

  • Probation: 6 months
  • Schedule: 08:30-17:30, with possible overtime during peak times
  • Work Environment: Hybrid (both in-person and remote)
