Hours: Monday to Friday 7.00am-4.00pm
Hourly Rate: £13.36 per hour

gap personnel Bristol are acting as an employment business are currently looking for a Maintenance Assistant for our client, based in Bristol, BS2. As a Maintenance Assistant you will join a team where you will become a key and valued member providing support.
This is a temporary to permanent postion for th right candidate.
Job Responsibilities:
- To be able to follow a detailed list of scheduled weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance tasks.
- Maintenance, both preventative and repairs to Mechanical handling equipment.
- General repairs to the building infrastructure.
- Maintenance, both preventative and repairs to the ripening rooms.
- Cleaning of the ripening rooms including the void area.
- Liaising with waste management companies to ensure that all the bins are emptied on time.
- Before any work is carried out on site by external contractors ensuring that the company has their detailed risk assessment method statement (RAMS) and agrees with them.
- General administration duties including checking the invoices are correct for any work carried out by external contractors, updating and maintaining spreadsheets.
- Ordering replacement parts as and when required.
- Making sure that the toilet facilities have soap and paper every day

- Ability to work on own initiative and in a team environment.
OTHER INFORMATION:
- Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Flexibility will be required to cover holiday and to meet the daily demands of the business.
- Occasional working at height and in confined spaces
