Reed Accountancy are proud to be working with a company in York who are recruiting a Finance Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time and permanent position offering hybrid working. This position is a wide range of duties including Purchase Ledger and Credit Control.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monthly bank reconciliations
- Journal input any losses and gains
- Reconcile and process monthly VAT returns
- Update Asset register
- Calculate and process monthly depreciations
- Assist with year-end procedures
- Collect outstanding customer debts – send monthly statements
- Contact customers regarding late payments
- Process invoices and check statements
- Timely payment of BACS payments
- Deal with petty cash distribution
You will need to demonstrate:
- Experience within a similar finance position
- AAT or working towards (desirable)
- Sage 200 experience (desirable)
- Excellent Excel skills
- Confident and accurate with numbers
