As a Technical Compliance Coordinator you will identify areas of conformance and non-conformance against regulatory requirements and 3rd Party standards, ensuring the company's integrity by confirming its lawful and ethical compliance and launching and withdrawing template documentation which supports the safety and legality of all products produced.

Leading on staff and contractor inductions based on industry best practice, legislative and 3rd party requirements in addition to scheduling, monitoring and maintaining the businesses training requirements across all processes, procedures and policies in line with Food Safety, Integrity and Quality requirements.

Technical Compliance Coordinator - Requirements

  • FMCG experience, Food Industry (desirable)
  • HACCP Level 3
  • Food Hygiene Level 3
  • Internal Auditor Certification
  • Training Certification
  • BRCGS experience (minimum 3 years)
  • Retailer standards experience (minimum 3 years)
  • Good levels of literacy & numeracy
  • Knowledge and understanding of 3rd party audits. i.e. BRC and customer specific
  • Strong experience with excel and Microsoft systems.
  • Knowledge of customer specific specification portals.
  • Detail focused, task orientated with strong decision making skills
  • Experience within the bakery is not essential as full training will be given.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Flexible approach and leads by example

Technical Compliance Co-ordinator - Responsibilities

  • To conduct internal audits against 3rd party and legal standards such as but not limited too Environmental Health, Trading standards, Customer, and 3rd party Audit requirements, identifying areas of conformance and non-conforming compliance, driving continuous improvement strategies to ensure conformance.
  • To manage a risk-based audit frequency to ensure it is accurately reflecting the business risk and 3rd party requirement needs.
  • To fully document and co-ordinate investigations of incidents including complaints and internal audit non-conformances, implementing effective corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence through management of a multi-functional team investigation root cause analysis system.
  • Register all internal audit non-conformances and report on Outstanding actions of close outs.
  • Ensure non conformances are communicated, investigated and closed out. Liaising with other departments to achieve this in a timely manner.
  • To update the risk assessment for audit frequency to ensure it is accurately reflecting the business risk of required frequency.
  • To keep up to date with current legislations and 3rd Party audit requirements communicating any amendments or additional requirements to the wider team.
  • Ensure all internal audits capture the requirements of 3rd party audits and legal requirements.
  • Support in the reviewing and improvement of policies and procedures as part of the Continuous Improvement culture of the company.
  • Assisting with traceability exercises where required.
  • Provide evidence of conformance, non-conformance and actions of closed out evidence in line with company procedures.
  • To support other departments in the requirements of recall requirements.
  • To confirm areas of training requirements identified with internal and 3rd party audit standards.
  • Co-ordinate the training of procedures and SOPs for all staff, maintaining the training matrix to ensure all training is current and completed to Food Safety
  • To maintain the services hub liaising with other departments and logging evidence of conformance.
  • Service Hub administration and communication of areas requiring action to ensure continuous compliance.
  • Provide a launch, withdrawal, and management service for all Quality Management System documentation.
  • Challenge and drive quality and audit ready culture across the business.
  • Ensure systems are in place to capture site specific QMS documentation and implement an effective document control process to ensure all factory documents in use are the correct and most current version.
  • To carry out any other duties as requested by the Technical Manager.
  • Cover for this position will be undertaken by the Quality Manager and/or Technical Manager.
