Senior Finance Business Partner

They are seeking a new Finance Business Partner to join their team who can bring an enthusiasm and energy that matches their ambition.

Your new role
The main purpose of the role will be to work with senior leadership in driving and delivering medium to long term strategic plans. You will be highly influential in advising and supporting business performance, working in conjunction with operational elements of the business. More specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing insights to FP&A on-site performance to drive performance.
  • Partnering with the Head of Finance, General Manager and other key stakeholders to drive strategic financial plans.
  • Possess strong business partnering skills to communicate and influence colleagues and support decision-making.
  • Understand the drivers of historical, current and forecasted performance for the site operations and highlight any emerging trends and potential opportunities.
  • Translate financial targets into operational and executional goals.
  • Building business performance and analytics but interpreting data and using this as a foundation to support decision-making in a clear and concise way.
  • Identify areas for optimisation and efficiency and work with operations to realise this potential.
  • Perform post project analysis to validate return on investment vs business case.
  • Assess and analyse capital spending ideas and create scenario analysis to outline prospective yield improvements.
  • Collaborate on new product development and assess business case and strategy.
  • Support the annual budget and forecasting process
  • Attend regular performance reviews to identify gaps to forecast and recommend necessary actions to rectify gaps.

This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday, but the exact working pattern is flexible. This company offer a hybrid working set-up of 7 days in 10 within the office as a minimum.

What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally be a fully qualified accountant and have significant experience in a similar commercial manufacturing/FMCG background. You will ideally have exposure to SAP, but this is not essential. You will have excellent communication and collaboration skills and be able to work in tandem with operational elements of the business. You will be a creative and innovative thinker and be able to identify areas of operational improvement. Experience in project management would be advantageous.

What you'll get in return
You will receive a competitive base salary + car allowance of £7,200. You will be eligible for a company bonus (target 25% annually) based on company performance, 33 days' holiday, access to a comprehensive EAP, staff product discounts and private medical insurance.
