We are excited to offer an opportunity for a dynamic Lead Practitioner in Technology to join our dedicated team at a secondary school near Chichester. This role is perfect for an experienced leader with a proven track record in Design and Technology, specifically Product Design and/or Engineering, who is seeking a new challenge and whole school responsibility.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Lead the delivery of the Design and Technology curriculum, with a focus on Product Design and Engineering.
  • Work closely with the senior leadership team on curriculum and teaching and learning strategies.
  • Influence teaching, assessment, and extra-curricular activities within the Technology department.
  • Support the Head of Department in implementing the curriculum and driving departmental success.
  • Engage with students to master an ambitious Design and Technology curriculum.
  • Utilise purpose-built workshops equipped with industry-standard technology to enhance learning.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A proven track record of excellence in Design and Technology, specifically Product Design and/or Engineering.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to influence and inspire others.
  • High levels of emotional intelligence, professional integrity, and a reflective approach to teaching.
  • Ambition and flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Commitment to inclusive and diverse education, providing first-class learning experiences.
