We are a social housing landlord and one of the largest housing providers in the region with over 22,000 social and affordable homes, mainly in the Bradford district. We employ a talented workforce of nearly 1,000 people.

Responsibilities

  • To establish effective relationships with Senior Managers to ensure seamless service delivery and provide excellent customer communications.
  • Lead on the management of the lettings of empty homes across all tenures working closely with internal and external partners.
  • Drive transformational change for voids and allocations and support the development of centralised services and improve digitalised technologies for a more customer focussed experience.
  • Effectively set and manage budget expenditure and maximise income to achieve business plan targets and value for money.
  • Contribute to the growth strategy for affordable housing working with development colleagues to influence the development of new homes.
  • Ensure new homes are allocated to create sustainable tenancies and neighbourhoods fit for future.
  • Be overall responsible for managing the external housing contract for another housing provider.
  • Ensure we make appropriate investment and disposal decisions regarding our existing homes.
  • Be responsible for ensuring Incommunities Local Authority Allocations Nomination agreements are met and nomination returns to each relevant LA are completed.
  • Lead on the management and improvement of our CCTV team to combat anti -social behaviour in some of our more challenging neighbourhoods.
  • To develop and maintain confidential liaison arrangements with other statutory and voluntary bodies, agencies, organisations, and individuals as part of a multi -agency approach to tackling Anti -Social Behaviour proactively using CCTV.
  • To provide timely and accurate reports to senior leaders and directors for board analysis.
  • To investigate complaints and concerns on operational delivery.
  • Manage and respond to complaints in line with policy and manage and respond to MP and Councillor enquiries.
  • Seek to improve working practices for staff, optimising IT systems and breaking down barriers to achieving an efficient and effective service.
  • Supporting staff personal development, ensuring up to date training, changes in policy, one to ones, welfare needs and ensuring they uphold the companies' values and desired behaviours.
  • To drive improvements to processes and services to enhance the customer journey and improve Tenant Satisfaction Measures

Requirements

  • Over 5 years' experience working in a social housing organisation. You must have extensive knowledge of managing void properties and an allocation team, and crucially improving performance to maximise rental income and average length of tenancy.
  • Have experience of managing ASB through the use of CCTV and partner agencies.
  • Up to date knowledge and understanding of Housing legislation and relevant ASB law.
  • Proven ability to drive strategic transformational change plans with positive and profitable results.
  • Analytical skills and strategic focus with the ability to judge, assess and respond accordingly.
