Assistant Accountant

- Job Type: Part-time (25-28 hours per week), Permanent
- Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 FTE
We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join a organically grown client based in Winsford. The successful candidate will be responsible for accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our financial operations. Day to Day of the role:
- Maintain key clerical functions including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash, and Fixed Assets.
- Manage month-end accounting services for group companies, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Produce operations and admin cost statements with commentary on key movements and trends.
- Ensure accurate month-end reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
- Produce month-end and year-end journals to meet accounting standards.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Manage VAT and Corporation tax cycles and complete payment runs.
- Uphold the Company's internal controls and provide timely information to auditors.
- Offer support and assistance within the department as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Relevant accountancy and ledger experience.
- AAT qualification or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience in process development.
- Competencies in openness to ideas, problem-solving, teamwork, integrity, organising, prioritising, initiative, and time management.
