We are seeking a Site Chemist to work on on of our waste managemnet sites in Shaftesbury, Dorest. You will be responsible for conducting laboratory analyses, quality control checks, and research and development activities related to waste management. The role involves hands-on participation in waste treatment processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating with the team to develop innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test waste samples as part of Pre-Acceptance and Acceptance Procedures.
- Conduct sampling and testing of effluent before and during the Water Treatment Process.
- Perform on-site sampling from storage tanks, packaged containers, and road tankers.
- Manage and analyze all inbound and outbound waste samples.
- Dispatch outbound samples and complete Waste Declarations.
- Provide occasional yard support as needed (training provided).
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong laboratory, analytical, and research skills.
- Experience in quality control and regulatory compliance.
- R&D experience is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in the waste management or environmental industry is a plus.
- Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field is essential.
