New Business Sponsorship Director - B2B Events

Quest Search and Selection are partnering with this fast-growing, B2B online Publication. The business has already created waves in the events space, utilising new events such as roundtables webinars, panel discussion & awards to engage their communities.

They are looking for talented sales, BD Sponsorship Director - B2B Events who will be focusing significantly on building contacts and developing new business relationships whilst working towards the strategy for the publication.

The roles and responsibilities of this BD Sponsorship Director - B2B Events role:

  • Generating sponsorships for the event portfolio, including conferences, awards, communities, and crafting customised events on demand.
  • Playing a key role in the retention of clients by providing a high level of customer service and ensuring maintaining contact with key clients.
  • This is a New Business role so real focus on lead generation, outreach and conversions.
  • Undertaking tools such as Linkedin Sales Navigator for outreach
  • Daily contact with clients, to request information, get approvals etc.
  • Making sure targets are met consistently (sales, outreach, meetings and proposals)
  • Pitching with clients via the phone, Video Call and Face to Face meetings
  • Creating bespoke and targeted sales decks/proposals to meet the needs of your clients.
  • Creating client reports and collating meeting outcomes, working to deadlines
  • Work closely with content, marketing, client relations, and operations teams to ensure the successful delivery of products and campaigns.

Experience and skills required for this BD Sponsorship Director - B2B Events position :

  • 4 years + experience operating a Sales/Business Development /Sponsorship /Senior Account Managers or Director level.
  • Must have experience in working in smaller/medium sized B2B Events (Currently holding 2-4 events per month).
  • Ideally have experience in the retail or consumer space but open to background.
  • Must be able to attend events (predominately in London).
  • Experience in creating personal sales plans.
  • Managing client campaigns and event delivery.
  • Ability to negotiate contracts and to maximize profits.
  • Able to juggle multiple projects at a time, whilst maintaining sharp attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
