Engineering Team Leader
Perm, £30k pa (£15.38p/hr), Day Shift, Mon-Fri, 37.5hrs per week
SHEFFIELD
I am looking for an experienced Lathe Operator/Manual Machinist to run a small team of 3-4, working at a busy Manufacturing company based near to Sheffield, on the Day shift.
Working under the Production Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day Production within your work cell, communicating company goals, safety practices, disciplinary procedures, and deadlines to the team. This is a hands-on role where you will be required to work within the Production Team itself. Day to Day tasks will include:
- Ensuring quality of work is maintained
- Ensuring team members are suitably trained
- Adherence to set procedures and work instructions
- Maintenance of equipment
- Co-ordination of daily work activities and requirements
- Health & Safety awareness within the cell
- Any ad-hoc duties as required
To be successful in this role you must have previous Lathe or Manual Machine experience or come from a Manufacturing/Engineering background. Other Key skills required for the role include**:**
- 3+ years Temperature Measurement / Instrumentation industry experience is essential
- 5+ years Team Leadership Experience in a previous engineering/production role
- Good attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks well
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Willingness to continue training and development of personal performance
- Able to work under pressure.
- Knowledge/understanding of ISO 9001: 2015 and ISO 17025: 2005 would be beneficial
- Strong Oral and Written Communication Skills
- Must be a good motivator
You will be required to work 37.5hrs per week on the Day shift, which will include a half day on a Friday. The role is advertised as Permanent and with a salary of £30k pa (£15.38p/hr).
