Technical Services Manager

Insight Executive Group are working in partnership with a global FM Service provider who are looking for a Technical Services Manager for their site in Oxford. This is a permanent position with a starting salary of £48k and looking for an ASAP start.

The successful Technical Services Manager will have strong technical knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems, and Project experience would also be desirable but not essential. You will be able to demonstrate a proven track record managing multi-disciplined teams including recruitment, disciplinaries, grievances, appraisals, and performance management and can show an ability to manage operational spend and highly computer literate and experienced in using Microsoft applications.

The successful Technical Services Manager will:

  • manage the delivery of all mechanical, electrical and associated maintenance services across the client site
  • manage a team of engineers plus sub-contractors ensuring that an effective and efficient service is delivered and maintained, service levels are in line with the contractual KPI's and overseeing supplier / labour costs to ensure financial targets are achieved.
  • build a strong working relationship with internal and external customers to ensure that all services are delivered in a professional, timely and cost-effective manner
  • compile accurate management information/reporting as required and submit in a timely manner to appropriate stakeholders. Play a key role to support any site audits, including but not limited to, quality, health and safety, environmental and finance
  • manage customer escalations and communicate effectively and sassist Engineers and planning team, providing support, advice and guidance to ensure best use of time and resource.

The successful Technical Services Manager will be able to demonstrate:

  • proven FM competence and experience
  • experience of working in a technical FM environment
  • experience within the FM sector in a supervisory and/or customer facing role
  • excellent communication and negotiation skills with customer focused
  • ability to solve problems positively and be pragmatic
