**The Company:

Our client is a well-established and rapidly expanding organization with a strong emphasis on data analysis and data science to fuel their growth and enhance their customer experience. They are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join their talented team, working within the data and analytics department.

**The Role:

As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the data infrastructure and leading end-to-end data engineering processes. You'll be a key contributor in designing and implementing robust data pipelines and structures while engaging with various stakeholders to drive data strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain data warehouses and data pipelines, enabling data provision from multiple sources to support company-wide BI.
  • Collaborate closely with the product, engineering teams, and CTO to ensure the highest data standards and practices.
  • Digest business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Build end-to-end data pipelines using Python and Cloud technologies, particularly within the GCP ecosystem.
  • Apply data best practices, maintain data artefacts, and support data models, data dictionaries, and business glossaries.
  • Convert prototypes and designs from data scientists and analysts into scalable production solutions.
  • Champion CI/CD methodologies and work closely with stakeholders to capture and deliver project requirements.

**Who We're Looking For:

We're seeking a hands-on professional who has demonstrated experience in owning, building, and maintaining complex data pipelines. You should be confident in working independently and managing end-to-end processes while having the creativity and flexibility to enhance data deliverables.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of commercial experience in a data engineering role with a proven track record of delivered solutions.
  • Expertise in Python, BigQuery, and building ETL pipelines.
  • Familiarity with GCP, Kubernetes, and CI/CD practices, such as GitHub, Jenkins, or similar tools.
  • Strong SQL skills for database construction and data manipulation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with Tableau Cloud, Big Data platforms, or Terraform.
  • Knowledge of other data technologies, e.g., NOSQL, Postgres, MySQL.
  • Prior experience in eCommerce or marketplace environments.
