Engineering Planner

This is a new role within the Company who will have overall responsibility for the planning and scheduling of preventative and corrective maintenance activities within the Maintenance function and wider operations team.

Description

Responsible for initial screening of incoming work orders, identification of scope and analysis of required level of planning

Conduct field walks to identify and document job requirements

Identify specific safety hazards that will be encountered in the performance of the proposed work

Procures equipment and specialised tools required as well as determining and arranging for parts required to perform the work

Compile information into a job package that is ready for skilled trades

Participate in outage planning activities such as scope identification and control, scheduling, co-ordination, risk assessment, execution and continuous improvement

Profile

  • Extensive experience of industrial maintenance
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience in maintenance planning on industrial plant and equipment
  • Strong technical, fault finding and diagnostic skills, to find and alleviate root causes of problems
  • Experience with CMMS
  • Understanding and experience of HSE and quality requirements in a maintenance/manufacturing environment
  • Management experience is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office packages

Job Offer

The role will offer a competitive package, days based working patterns, predominantley Monday to Friday but occasional work patterns out of core hours may be agreed in advance.

The salary for this role will be around £45,000 dependant on experience and qualifcations.
