Join our expanding team at a co-educational, independent specialist day school. We are seeking a compassionate and inspiring PSHE Teacher to deliver high-quality education to secondary-aged students with special educational needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver outstanding and engaging PSHE lessons to students with diverse educational needs including autism, ADHD, and SEMH.
- Plan and execute lessons that cater to various learning styles and meet Ofsted requirements.
- Foster a positive learning environment, promoting good behaviour and a strong desire to learn.
- Utilize innovative teaching methods to inspire and motivate students.
- Collaborate with other teaching staff to enhance educational practices and student learning experiences.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Proven experience teaching PSHE at the secondary level.
- Strong understanding of child safeguarding principles.
- Experience working with students who have challenging behaviour or SEMH.
- Ability to deliver subject specialism up to GCSE level.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills to create engaging and effective lessons.
