Project Manager - Sprinkler Systems

Location: Maidstone, Kent

About Us:

My client is a leading provider of fire protection solutions. They specialise in the installation and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. I am seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager to join the team and oversee the successful execution of our contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee both technical and financial aspects of contracts, managing variations, and ensuring thorough final inspections.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and toolbox talks, efficiently managing material orders.
  • Represent the company professionally at site and contract meetings, maintaining a high standard of professionalism.
  • Ensure compliance with quality and Health and Safety standards across all projects.
  • Produce detailed Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and O&M Manuals.
  • Liaise with clients, third parties, and management to ensure resource availability and project alignment.
  • Brief clients and site personnel on working requirements and processes to ensure clarity and smooth operations.
  • Perform monthly financial assessments to track work progress and manage costs effectively.
  • Proactively communicate project issues to senior management, ensuring transparency and swift resolution.
  • Resolve project-related problems by suggesting and agreeing on alternative solutions.

Person Profile:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, CAD, Visio, Prince2, databases, and process mapping.
  • Knowledgeable in BSEN 12845, BS9251:2014, and BS9990:2015 standards.
  • Experienced in Wet and Dry Riser engineering.
  • Preferred LPC certificates (basic/intermediate or Full Hydraulic Calculation).
  • Proven project management experience within the fire sprinkler installation sector.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, capable of managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
