Job Opportunity: Secondary Art Teacher (KS3 and GCSE) Small SEMH School - classes of 6 students with support
Are you a passionate and resilient professional with experience of teaching art? We are working with a school who have an exciting opportunity for an Art Teacher to join their small SEMH school faculty. As the sole Art teacher, you'll be responsible for delivering the KS3 and GCSE art curriculum to our secondary aged students.
About the School:
- School: A small SEMH school
- Class Size: Maximum 6 students
- Student Needs: EHCPs with the primary need being SEMH
- Experience: Experience and passion for supporting students who have SEMH, Additional Needs, Trauma, Adverse Childhood Experiences.
- Potential for a 4-day working week for 100% pay in the next year (TBC).
Role Overview:
- Deliver engaging art lessons to secondary students
- Adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs
- Collaborate with support staff and TA's
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Support students' emotional well-being
Requirements:
- Qualified teacher status (QTS), QTLS or equivalent teaching experience
- ECTs will be considered
- Experience/Interest in SEND, ideally aware of trauma-informed teaching
- Passion for art education
- Resilience and adaptability
