TimePlan Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Wandsworth. They believe in the potential of every child and are committed to fostering an atmosphere that encourages growth and development.
You will be joining a team playing a crucial part in supporting a child with mild autism, the role will also include personal care (supporting the child with the toilet) Ensuring they have access to a positive and enriching educational experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing one-on-one support to a child in Year 1 with Autism
- Supporting in implementing personalised plans alongside the SENCO
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Employ effective behaviour management strategies to promote an engaged learning atmosphere
Experience Required
- Experience supporting special needs or challenging behaviour
- Knowledge of the national curriculum
- Understanding and interest of how children develop socially and mentally
- Patient, reliable and passionate about supporting children with special educational needs
