We are looking for a diligent Accounts Payable Assistant to join our finance team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of accounts payable duties and will be proficient in using Sage 1000. This role is essential for managing our payable processes efficiently and ensuring the accuracy of financial information.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Process invoices and expense claims, ensuring timely and accurate payment.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain up-to-date vendor records and payment details.
  • Utilise Sage 1000 to input financial data and generate reports.
  • Assist with month-end closing procedures and provide support for financial audits.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to improve accounts payable processes.
  • Handle queries from suppliers and internal departments regarding payments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or similar finance role.
  • Proficiency with Sage 1000 is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial records.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
