Public Sector Partnership Services Ltd is seeking an experienced, motivated, and ambitious Deputy Head of Revenues and Benefits, Operations to lead our dynamic and dedicated teams.

The Deputy Head of Revenues and Benefits, Operations is responsible for the leadership, management and direction of our day-to-day operations, delivering Council Tax, Business Rates, Debt Recovery, Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support, Sundry Debtor and Housing Benefit overpayment recovery on behalf of our three client councils.

This is an exciting time as we look to transform and modernise our service for the future. As part of the Senior Management Team, the Deputy Head of Revenues and Benefits, Operations, will play a major role in helping to define and lead future strategy and development of the service, and for managing change to achieve maximum benefits whist delivering high performance standards.

Reporting to the Head of Revenues and Benefits, the successful candidate will have responsibility for the motivation, development and direction of our teams, to ensure timely and accurate delivery across all aspects of the service, with a focus on ‘customer at the heart'.

The Revenues and Benefits service has offices in Boston, Horncastle and Spalding, and there will be a requirement for regular travel to each site.

What we need from you:

  • A proven track record of leadership and service delivery, with experience in managing multi-disciplined teams.
  • In-depth technical, legislative and specialist knowledge of Revenues and / or Benefits
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills and able to work effectively in a complex and changing service environment.
  • Enthusiasm, and confidence that encourages excellent working relationships.
  • Ideally you will hold an IRRV qualification or be prepared to undertake this.

PSPS (Public Sector Partnership Services) is a Local Authority Trading Company (LATCo) which is wholly owned by East Lindsey District Council, South Holland District Council and Boston Borough Council. The Company operates from its offices in Spalding, Boston, and Horncastle. The Company provides a range of services including Human Resources & Payroll, Financial Services, Procurement & Contracts, ICT (Information and Communications Technology) & Digital, Customer Contact, Revenues & Benefits, Health & Safety, and a range of Corporate Support services.
