DK Recruitment are recruiting for Waterfront Operatives to work with our client in Devonport Dockyard.
You will be required to undertake a wide range of tasks across site and will be required to undertake training to ensure they meet the requirements of the role. You will be ensuring the safe docking and berthing of ships and boats.
Applications are welcome from candidates with the following:
- A full clean driving licence
- An understanding around docking and berthing - previous experience desired
- Counterbalance FLT licence is desirable, however a willingness to train is essential
- Willingness to work at height and in confined spaces
- MEWP operator or willingness to train
- An understanding of Babcock's role as a business is necessary, with a desirable understanding of process and procedures
- Successful candidates must have a positive attitude towards conventional Health and Safety and be willing to challenge unsafe acts
- Good communication & interpersonal skills
- Be willing to present themselves clean shaven for a face fit test
- Ability to work in a team
Ability to obtain and hold SC Security clearance is a requirement of this role.
Hours: Mon-Thurs 7.30-15.30 Friday 7.30-12.30
