Food Technician | Role Overview:
At Remedy are seeking a dedicated and highly-skilled Food Technician to join our team starting in September 2024. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our Food Technology department, ensuring smooth operation of practical lessons, and contributing to an engaging learning experience for our students.

Location: Plumstead, South East London
Contract: Full time
Start: September Start
Rate: £180-£200
Food Technician | Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and organisation of materials and equipment for practical food lessons.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the food technology rooms and storage areas.
- Support teachers during lessons by providing technical assistance and guidance to students.
- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure all equipment is in good working order.
- Help develop new recipes and food-related projects in collaboration with teaching staff.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Assist in the setup and organisation of school events involving the Food Technology department.
Food Technician | Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Food Technician or in a similar role is desirable.
- A strong interest in food technology and culinary arts.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food preparation and kitchen environments.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Flexibility and a proactive approach to work.
- Relevant qualifications in food technology or a related field are an advantage.
