Workshop Assistant

Are you an organised and detail-oriented individual with a passion for providing excellent customer service? Our client is seeking a Workshop Assistant to join their team at the Depot Workshop. As the Workshop Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Workshop Manager and ensuring the safe and legal operation of their vehicles.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with customers to arrange 6 weekly inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Use the T card system to update and maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance activities.
  • Manage job bookings in the R2C workshop management system.
  • Administer new vehicle pre-delivery inspections (PDI) and maintain proper documentation.
  • Create vehicle sub-units and verify the accuracy of legal documents like V5s and VTG plates.
  • Organise and file important paperwork such as V5 documents, VTG plates, and tacho records.
  • Handle vehicle recalls and promptly address customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Run fleet lists and generate reports on tyre inventory.
  • Provide temporary coverage for the Workshop Manager when needed.

Requirements:

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in using workshop management systems and other relevant software.
  • Prior experience in a similar administrative support role preferred.
