IT Engineer

A Japanese IT company in London is currently recruiting an IT Engineer.
You will be working in a team responsible for financial institution clients, developing and maintaining financial systems and will be stationed at the client's site.
Understanding of Japanese culture and some Japanese skill will be advantageous.
TYPE: Permanent, full-time
WORKING HOURS: 9:00-17:00 from Monday to Friday
SALARY: £40-60K depending on experience
START: ASAP
LOCATION: Central London (Client's site)
IT Engineer Main Responsibilities:
- Specification writing in support of application systems
- Design, review, analyse and develop systems, including coding, testing and debugging
- Documentation, reporting of findings and presentations to stakeholders as required
- Analysing financial data stored in databases and work flows, proposing improvements and developing tools, systems and applications as required
- Handling of issues related to projects and production support
IT Engineer Ideal Candidate:
- More than 5 years' experience in system development, operation and maintenance required
- Preferably with at least 3 years' experience in the following areas;
-Information systems for financial institutions
-Account and core systems for financial institutions
-Financial accounting work for financial institutions
- Business level English language skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Some understanding of Japanese culture and Japanese language would be advantageous
