A strategic and experienced Head of Facilities and Estaes to lead the facilities, estates and projects function within a large educational establishment. This role will encompass the management of both hard and soft services, overseeing all major and minor works for capital projects, maintenance, and facilities across multiple sites.

The Head of Facilities will report directly to the Board and Chief Executive, ensuring that our facilities support the highest standards of education and student experience.

Description

  • Lead and manage the facilities team, ensuring the effective delivery of both hard and soft services across all sites.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of all capital projects, including new builds and smaller works and improvements.
  • Develop and implement facilities management strategies that align with the organisation's goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate maintenance and operational activities, ensuring optimal functionality and the highest standard of health and safety across sites.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external contractors and service providers to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Report on facilities performance and progress to the Board and Chief Executive, providing strategic recommendations for improvement and strategy.

Profile

  • Significant experience in facilities management and capital projects preferably within the education sector or a comparable environment.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage and motivate diverse teams.
  • Excellent project management skills, with a successful track record in overseeing capital works and maintenance projects.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, building standards, and sustainability practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Job Offer
