Job Role: Mechanic
Job Location: Wyre Forest District Council
Salary: £20 Per Hour
Working period: Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:30
Working Hours: 37 hours per week
Assignment period: 3-6 Months Ongoing
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Identify and resolve mechanical issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including repairs, parts used, and service history.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of our fleet.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in vehicle technology.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably in a municipal or fleet environment.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and repair techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driving license.
