Our client, pre-prep school in North London is seeking a Chef to start at their school in September 2024.

The school is a Nursery and Pre-Prep school in North London and was established to provide children between the ages of 2 and 7+ years with the highest standard of education and care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Nutritionist to design termly menus that are balanced, diverse, and culturally inclusive. These menus will include morning snacks, lunches, and afternoon snacks.
  • Provide appealing and plentiful meals daily. Ensure second helpings are available for children who request more.
  • Stay updated on food trends and new recipes through various resources to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
  • Maintain efficient stock control, ensuring supplies are always adequate and items are used in date order.
  • Manage the ordering schedule for various supplies.
  • Maintain a spotless kitchen environment.
  • Regularly check and record fridge, freezer, and water temperatures, ensuring compliance with standards (14°C - 18°C for water checks).
  • Manage the laundering of your uniforms and kitchen linens.

  • Foster positive relationships with parents, children, and staff.
  • Work well with others and follow directions when needed.
  • Maintain composure and efficiency under pressure.
