HRGO are recruiting for an Event Operations Manager, for a Maternity Cover for around a year , for our client based in the Hythe area. You will be reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager and will lead the coordination, ensuing the venue is immaculately presented and ready for guest arrivals and a seamless service. You will need to manage inevitable last-minute changes, to ensure minimal disruption. Monitor and control all aspects of the event operation, to ensure the highest quality service standards are maintained and all guests to receive a memorable experience.
Key Duties
- Implementing and monitoring standards of procedures in line with the company's ethos, ensuring the team provide excellent customer service at all times
- Ensure the team are knowledgeable, prepared and well trained to deliver visitors and guests with an exemplary experience.
- To ensure that all guest complaints during or after an event are dealt with in a prompt and efficient manner and in an appropriate style where speed of response and courtesy are paramount.
- Responsible for organising staff shifts and holidays to deliver a consistent and high standard of service at all times.
- Overseeing the setting up, serving and clearing down of all functions including, weddings ,conferences, private events, training courses and internal meetings.
- Collaborate with the Sales team to plan, organise and execute the event delivery.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with other operational departments.
- Negotiate the contracts, order and control of hire equipment.
- Ensure all equipment and furniture is clean, catalogued, stored correctly and in good working order.
- Monitor the appearance, standards, and performance of the team.
- Work closely with the Restaurant Manager to develop a broad range of skills and knowledge within the team.
Experience
- Proven event operations experience, ideally within a quality led hospitality venue.
- Managing staffing levels and rosters to efficiently meet occupancy levels and budgets.
- Dealing with complaints and confidently provide a suitable resolution.
- Experience of developing and training a team of 20 to 30 people to meet defined SOPs.
- Stock management and ordering.

Competitive salary
Full time position, 45 hours per week, 5 out of 7, including weekends and bank holidays.
Must have a full valid driving license.
