Main Duties:
- Income and Expenditure Reporting:
- Set and oversee month-end processes.
- Prepare and analyse month-end management accounts for senior management.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Develop and manage budgeting processes and systems.
- Ensure budget accountability and accuracy.
- Process and Systems Management:
- Maintain robust financial reporting structures.
- Optimise financial processes and tools.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Prepare and submit required financial reports and data.
- Staff Management:
- Evaluate and develop team members.
- Manage team performance and communicate strategic developments.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, CIPFA).
- Extensive experience in financial management within a large public sector or non-profit institution.
- Strong knowledge of SORP, FRS102, and higher education funding mechanisms.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Excellent communication skills for conveying complex financial information.
