Exciting Opportunity: School Administrator

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, personable and organised individual to join the Administrative Team which provides support over the five sites. Duties will include being a key point of contact for staff at the ARBs, updating the school database (Arbor), supporting areas such as the EHCP process, HR and Safeguarding administration, exam processes, home-school transport and providing Reception cover as well as additional administrative tasks commensurate with the post. You will be a good communicator, experienced in the use of MS Office, smart in appearance and be professional and discrete regarding confidential matters. Experience of Arbor would be an advantage, but training will be given if necessary.

Hours of Work: 37 hours per week, 39 working weeks per year (includes CPD days) plus holidays (45.4506 paid weeks per year)
Salary / Range: £22,097.67 per annum (£13.14 per hour) FTE £25,350

Key Responsibilities:

  • HR Administration: Be the go-to person for HR queries, handling recruitment, contract variations, and absence management.
  • Compliance: Process DBS checks, Letters of Assurance, and maintain confidential staff records.
  • Data Management: Input and maintain accurate records for staff and pupils on Arbor, assisting with census production.
  • Annual Reviews: Administer the Annual Reviews process, ensuring all statutory deadlines are met.
  • Transport Coordination: Liaise with the Local Authority, transport providers, parents, and staff to coordinate home/school transport.
  • Website Management: Maintain and develop the school website, ensuring its effectiveness.
  • Staff Training: Keep staff training records up to date and ensure training requirements are met.
  • Exam Administration: Administer and coordinate arrangements for public exams.
  • Administrative Support: Provide support to the Administration Manager and Senior Leadership Team, including whole school events like Parent Evenings.
  • Financial Processes: Handle purchasing, invoicing, payments, and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Supply Staff Coordination: Book supply staff and liaise with SLT for internal staff cover.
  • General Administration: Support with scheduling meetings, minute taking, word-processing, correspondence, and more.
  • Ofsted Inspections: Assist with unannounced Ofsted inspections.
  • Reception Cover: Provide cover for the reception as needed.
