Data Analysis Assistant

Our client, a prestigious London University, is currently seeking a temporary, full time (35 hours per week) Data Analysis Assistant, running for 3-months in the first instance, based onsite 3-days per week in East London.

Key Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Working with sensitive data, ensuring compliance with statutory legislations regarding data handling including GDPR.
  • Writing clinical system searches to inform local services and to populate departmental dashboards.
  • Using software and tools such as Excel, Access, Power BI & Tableau to compile and prepare data for analysis and publication.
  • Producing reports to commissioning organisations, collaborating with data analysts and facilitators.
  • Assisting with the production and distribution of departmental publications and supporting materials.
  • Liaising with and responding to queries from other collaborating organisations.
  • Providing solutions to data extraction queries.
  • Maintaining accurate and relevant records of activity and data procedures.
  • Delivering feedback on work programmes to all members of the department and other members of staff as required.

To be considered for this position, you should possess:

  • Previous experience in a similar role working within a higher education setting.
  • Detailed knowledge of data protection legislation and processes.
  • Ability to draft a range of documents independently.
  • Strong experience working collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Excellent IT skills, including usage of Microsoft Office packages including Excel, Access, Power BI, and Tableau.
