Our client is a market-leading Will writing company based in West London. They are a dynamic and ambitious organisation seeking a Probate Consultant to join their expanding Probate department in their London office. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate to progress their legal career within a fast-paced and client-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

As a Probate Consultant with our client, your core responsibilities will include:

  • Attending appointments with Executors, either in person or via video appointments
  • Assisting Executors with their application for a Grant of Probate and advising on estate administration procedures
  • Taking instructions from Executors for estate administration cases that will be prepared for solicitor application
  • Liaising with external solicitors and Executors throughout the administration process

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Combination of Law Degree with CILEx/LPC/STEP Advanced Certificates in Will Preparation, Administration of Estates, and Trust
  • Sound knowledge of Wills, Trusts, Inheritance Tax, and the Probate process
  • Minimum 1-year experience of Probate practise and estate administration
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Commercial mindset
  • Outgoing and team player personality

The following qualifications and experience would be considered advantageous:

  • Experience as an ex-solicitor, someone progressing through STEP diploma, or an experienced paralegal
