Travel Recruitment & Development Manager

We're looking for an experienced and commercially minded travel industry professional, to join a growing leisure travel organisation as a Recruitment & Development Manager.

Reporting to the General Manager, this fast paced and varied role will see the successful candidate manage a rapidly expanding team of travel sales homeworkers with ambitious growth plans, dealing predominantly with worldwide leisure travel destinations. The role will require a strong emphasis on homeworker recruitment, training, business development and marketing to actively generate new business.

Please note - this role can be hybrid/ West Yorkshire or fully homebased.

Role of Recruitment & Development Manager:

  • Responsible for recruitment advertising through all online and offline channels.
  • Candidate screening, interview and selection.
  • Responsible for the performance of recruitment advertising and suggesting new ideas on channels to improve recruitment effectiveness.
  • Develop and manage new training and procedures.
  • Perform full 3-4 day training of new candidates.
  • Create business strategies with ongoing support and development for homeworkers on an individual basis.
  • Create marketing plans for the business in order to achieve / exceed planned sales and recruitment budgets.
  • Responsible for producing all weekly, monthly sales reports and recruitment reports measuring sales and profit versus budget.
  • Expanding new products by dealing with travel product suppliers in order to offer enhanced incentives and offers which will include high revenue long haul and cruise products.
  • Assisting the GM in running the head office including all local services

Skills required for the role:

  • Retail travel management and recruitment experience of at least 5 years within a branch, call centre or homeworking business - essential.
  • Strong motivational and people management skills.
  • Strong commercial skills in developing new business ideas.
  • Driven to exceeding sales targets.
