We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Database Administrator to join our clients IT team. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing and maintaining our database systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. This role requires an understanding of database management systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain database systems.
- Monitor database performance.
- Ensure database security, integrity, and availability through regular maintenance and backup procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
- Assist all business functions with issues, resolving in a timely manner or escalating where necessary.
- Conduct training; create training guides and implement effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of database security, backup, recovery, and performance tuning.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
