Commercial Disputes Solicitor/Chartered Legal Executive – Plymouth

Unique opportunity for a Commercial Disputes Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join an International Legal 100 law firm in Plymouth. This team is made up of lawyers, paralegals and legal project managers supporting clients on bespoke projects.

The Role

You will join a sub-team and provide supervision to a team of paralegals who conduct work for clients across retail, utilities, government and technology sectors. It is unlikely you will have your own caseload (unless you want to) but you will instead work as a team, with team targets, to get the work completed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision for a team of paralegals
  • Have close client contact
  • Be strong at breaking down legal problems verbally and written
  • Manage the target for the team and ensure service level agreements are met at all times

Key Sectors and Claims

  • Technology: Fraud, overcharging, non-delivery, personal injury, data breaches
  • Utilities: Overcharging, service disruptions
  • Financial Institutions: Withheld funds, KYC issues, lost parcels
  • Retail & Hospitality: Discrimination, defective goods, installation disputes

What experience do you need?

  • Experience in commercial debt recovery or consumer claims – defendant or claimant
  • Qualified solicitor or chartered legal executive with at least 3 years PQE
  • Strong technical litigation skills
  • Previous experience supervising or managing volume workstreams is an advantage, but not essential

What's in it for you?

  • This a unique role and has a career path you can create
  • Excellent salary and benefits – equal for both solicitor and chartered legal executives
  • To be part of a growing team

If you're ready to have a slightly different role in a law firm and one where you can make an impact in a forward-thinking legal team, click on apply now and send your CV through to G2 Legal.
