Job Description:

We're looking for a talented and highly motivated legal counsel to support our client's rapidly growing and evolving business in France. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with broad, generalist responsibilities, but with

specific legal expertise in commercial law and regulatory/compliance matters pertaining the consumer electronics sector (smartphone, PC, and wearables distribution and E-commerce, digital services).

Main Responsibilities

  • Support business operations in France, by giving pro-active, professional, competent, cost-effective, and creative legal support:
  • Review and negotiate contracts in procurement, sales, administration, and other business-related areas.
  • Review compliance of business projects, promotions & campaigns, features and functions of products.
  • Handle external disputes.
  • Provide advice on legal risks, business strategies, compliance, and regulatory issues.
  • Provided legal support to HONOR France R&D center, including but not limited to support technical cooperation projects.
  • Reports to Regional Legal Head of European Region, dotted line to Country CEO of France.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with external legal resources.
  • Legislative tracking and employee legal awareness training.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Native French candidates are needed and MUST have French BAR.
  • LL.B. or LL.M. degree, PLUS French BAR.
  • 3+ years of experience in a multinational company or law firm. Familiar with handling company legal affairs and procedures.
  • Be familiar with competition law, data protection law, consumer right protection law, corporate law, and labour law.
  • Great judgment, very strong written and verbal communication skills, and great attention to detail.
  • Results and customer oriented and continuous improvement mindset
  • Practical business judgment and ability to qualify actual practical risk. Occasional travel to consult with internal or external customers.
  • Native French and fluent English
