Salary: £33,000 - £37,000 (£39,000 - £43,000 OTE) + OOT Allowance
Working Hours: Flexible approach to working shift pattern – core hours Mon – Fri 8am-4.30pm.
Overview:
First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic business who are looking to recruit a Joinery Foreman on a permanent basis to cover the Manchester area (and other areas further afield)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To Lead by example and build a pro-active positive culture towards HSS across all teams.
- Reporting back to Manager any defaults/queries in production orders, information errors and quality of output.
- Support the Warehouse Management with production team sub labour to ensure we meet our targets and standards for manufacture
- Building features /stands/bespoke elements in warehouse and support the team in Pull & Prep / oversee critical loading bespoke projects as neccessary.
- Agree a robust breakdown plan with correct labour and resources to ensure we hit tenancy times and return all kit safely and report any defects.
- Work with Manager to ensure we carryout regular assessment of equipment and stock/materials reporting any faulty machinery and follow maintenance plans.
- Contributing towards the Facilities management of Company premises by reporting back any defects to line manager and being part of the maintenance of the working area.
- Ensure all work areas are kept safe and clean and contribute to a clean down process as part of your working day.
- Responsible to manage all sub hire labour on build and break downs, ensuring the build is going to schedule and all equipment is there and issued to plan.
- Ensure Sub hire labour follows HSS procedures and report back and log any accidents/near misses.
- Identify and quarantine any faults in shell scheme or other components.
- Monitor and control schedule of build keeping manager fully aware of any delays or shortfall in overall delivery. Flexing timescales and team to ensure deadlines are hit.
- Monitor across multiple services, build plan, Shell/Flooring/furniture working with event manager to ensure all fit for opening.
- Lead team to ensure all services and components are installed and correct prior to releasing sub con labour.
- Sign off block plans for HSS and ensure records are filed with Event Manager prior to open of show.
- Onsite build- supervise loading of trucks and ensure stock is loaded correctly and safely ensuring no damage is occurred.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience of working in an production facility, exhibition / event management preferrable.
- Carpentry/joinery experience essential
- Full UK Drivers License (maximum 6 points)
- Works well and efficiently under pressure
