Financial Controller

The role of the Financial Controller (FC) is to support the CFO in all areas however the primary area of their responsibility is to maintain the operation of the fund structures, including, quarterly capital statements, cash management, deal execution, capital calls, regulatory reporting and audit. Managing post deal documentation and liaising as appropriate with any third parties.

Involvement in other general fund operational matters which may include: Project managing items such as the opening of bank accounts, custody accounts, setting up of new entities, etc; Support in reviewing any restructure / cost optimisation steps, and implementation thereafter; Combining/closing entities; Managing external service providers; Managing changes in external service providers and associated onboarding requirements; Managing and updating the documents library and library of processes. General process optimisation and implementation.

The FC will also be required to support the management accounting of the UK and Maltese company entities. This will involve the review and recording of service provider invoicing against legal agreements. Reconciliation of bank statements, recharging of costs and collection of revenues from underlying fund entities. Some compliance reporting may also be required.
