IT & General Business Operations Manager

An expanding business is in search of an IT & Operations Manager to take the helm of both IT expertise and business management. This role is ideal for an IT enthusiast eager to bridge the gap between technical know-how and operational excellence, ensuring the smooth running of our client's business operations.
Day to Day of the role:
- Oversee network infrastructure and systems, including Windows clients, servers, and firewalls.
- Manage endpoint security tools and ensure server hardening.
- Administer network security measures, including VLANs, switching, and routing.
- Address telecom needs and implement Hyper-V virtualization.
- Ensure GDPR compliance and perform data analysis for various departments.
- Collaborate with teams across Finance, HR, Marketing, and Customer Service to deliver operational services.
- Implement Health & Safety processes and maintain high-standard facilities.
- Keep regulatory compliance and certifications up-to-date.
- Optimize logistical performance and communicate priorities to warehouse and production supervisors.
- Handle legal aspects such as commercial contracts and confidentiality agreements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Excellent IT skills (Level 3 or above).
- Proficiency in maths and arithmetic with excellent English language skills.
- Experience in managing teams and a hands-on, self-starter attitude.
- Good commercial thinking, numerical skills, and analytical abilities.
- High-level Excel expertise (including Pivot tables) and SQL database querying.
- Strong record-keeping and structured network filing skills.
- Integrity, trust, business acumen, and a drive for results.
- Organised with good time management and critical prioritisation skills.
- Passion for making a measurable impact and a natural desire to learn and develop.
