Insurance Sales Consultant

Salary: £28k Basic - DOE + £40k OTE + Great benefit package

Location: Brighton (office based)

Hours: Mon-Fri 9am - 5pm or 10am - 5pm

You will already have a sales background ideally within insurance or financial services and enjoy working within a vibrant and target driven team.

My client is looking for a consultative sales approach, there is no cold calling with this role, you will be contacting clients that have made enquiries to take out Accident & Sickness, Critical illness, Income Protection, PMI and Life insurance products.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing incoming web-based, telephone and digital marketing enquiries.
  • Liasing with clients and conducting a fact find to ensure you can present the correct policies to meet their individual needs.
  • Discussing and selling income protection insurance products.
  • Ensuring customer qualifies for the policies.
  • Managing all aspects of the sales process.
  • Cross selling ancillary products such as Life, PMI etc.
  • Liaising with insurers and underwriters.
  • Managing a pipeline of sales business.
  • Ensuring all FCA regulations and compliance is adhered to.
  • Working to strict SLA's and sales targets.

The right candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Proven background within a telephone-based sales/retention role, within a FCA regulated /Insurance or Financial Services environment.
  • Great communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients effectively.
  • Good IT skills inclusive of Word, Excel and using inhouse CRM systems.
  • Driven and self-motivated with a passion to succeed.
  • Consultative sales approach.
