Location: Blackpool (easy access via M55)
Salary: £47,000 DoE
Working Hours: Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)

My client is a well-established, forward-thinking manufacturing business based in Blackpool, renowned for innovation and employee-centric culture. As they continue to grow, they are looking for a proactive and ambitious Finance Manager to join the team and drive financial performance. What You'll Be Doing

As Finance Manager, you'll take full responsibility for overseeing financial operations across two legal entities, utilizing bespoke ERP systems to deliver accurate and insightful financial reports. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the Month-End Process: Preparation of monthly accounts, managing reconciliations (Fixed Assets, Accruals, Prepayments, Debtors, Creditors).
  • VAT Compliance: Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Audit, Budgeting & Forecasting: Oversee the annual audit process, lead budgeting, and deliver accurate forecasting to guide business decisions.
  • Tax & HMRC Liaison: Handle annual tax computations, and work closely with HMRC on compliance matters.
  • Cash Flow & Capital Expenditure: Oversee cash flow forecasting, capital expenditure reviews, and authorize bank payments.
  • Operational Finance (COGS): Conduct weekly Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) reviews, collaborating with the operations team to enhance process accuracy.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and inspire a team of three, including two transactional finance staff and one assistant accountant, helping them to grow and succeed.
  • Stock & Sales Analysis: Review stock aging and provide regular sales analysis reports to inform business strategy.
