The role:

The Executive Risk Partner for Technology Platform ('TP') is responsible for leading a team of Risk Partners in the Second Line of Defence in providing independent challenge and scrutiny to the Executive and Leadership team of the TP, which are undertaking a significant strategy in ensuring very high standards of resiliency and security for a globally systemically important architecture.

Key responsibilities

1. Lead the TP Risk Partner team within the Risk Department (Second Line of Defence) at Swift, providing independent challenge and scrutiny to major initiatives in TP.

2. Deliver against a portfolio of risk management requirements including Risk Assessments, Risk and Control Self Assessments, Risk Monitoring, Risk Acceptances, Board Papers, Executive Papers and Overseer Papers. These are related to company KPIs.

3. Build strong working relationships with the TP Executive and Management team. The role will be a member of the extended Management Team of TP as well as a member of the Risk Department Management Team.

4. Contribute with a strategic mindset in report writing to Executives, Board and Overseers.

5. Present at quarterly Board meetings (TP Committee), quarterly Overseer meetings and ad hoc Overseer meetings to represent the second line opinion on major initiatives.

6. Define medium and long-term view on processes and methods and secure resources to implement improvements as and when required within the Risk Department.

7. Contribute to the achievement and success of the company strategy, TP Strategy and the Risk Department Roadmap through delivery within in the TP Risk Partner team and broader support and management across the Risk Department.

8. Provide leadership in setting and demonstrating the culture and values within the Risk Department.

9. Develop specific skills and understanding related to own areas of expertise. Bring new external ideas in the department/division to improve processes.

10. Apply in-depth expert knowledge in TP risk management and lead strategic direction and objective management for the TP Risk Partner team.

11. Proactively assess impact of changes on department activities and lead as part of the collective Management Team of the Risk Department.

12. Have a strong familiarity with the three lines of defence model.

13. Demonstrate ability to build a strong and sustainable network across the company and beyond the immediate TP space.

Education

A university degree, preferably at Masters level and relevant vocational qualifications.

Experience

10-15 years of experience in a similar environment of which 5 years in a risk management environment. Experience preferred in consulting, technology and/or financial services industries.
