Summary

We have an opportunity for a Welcome & Service Assistant to join our team at Kedleston Hall.

You'll play a core part in giving information, providing fantastic customer service as part of a passionate team, answering questions and ensuring everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit.

Duration: Fixed term contract until 28th February 2025

Hours: This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year. You'll work 300 hours over the duration of the contract, and on average, you'll work one day per week (sometimes two to three days in peak season) which will often include a weekend day. Flexibility is essential to support with covering holidays.

What you'll be doing

Day to day, you'll deliver a great all-round customer service experience. You'll be on hand answering queries and listening to what our visitors need so you can share the right information.

Come rain or shine, indoors or outside, no two days are the same. As part of the Visitor Experience team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the presentation of our welcome area is spot on, engaging our visitors, making them feel welcome and keeping all areas clean and tidy.

You'll promote the amazing work we do with our visitors and what their money is funding, highlighting the important role our members play in supporting our charity, as well as the benefits of National Trust membership. You'll work flexibly across all areas of the operation, providing support as needed. You'll also be working with volunteers who provide extra support to the team.
