Position: Full time (35hr per week), permanent

Location: Crawley / Hybrid

This Marketing & Social Marketing Assistant role is to support the Marketing Manager deliver effective promotional communication to ensure that the right quality and quantity of visitors and exhibitors attend the event.

William Reed has built an unrivalled event portfolio for the UK food and drink industry. The department is responsible for marketing Foodex Manufacturing Solutions, Food & Drink Expo, National Convenience Show, Farm Shop & Deli Show and Awards, The Forecourt Show, The Restaurant Show and The London Coffee Festival. Each event is independently marketed to our industry-wide and sector-specific media, and we pride ourselves on getting the right audience.

What you'll be doing:

  • Ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Liaising and co-ordinating activity with the features, operations, sales, ad production, multimedia and publishing teams when required.
  • Ensuring websites are up to date with the latest logos, timetables, exhibitors, and relevant content highlights.
  • Producing and posting social media content.
  • Creating digital inventory in Canva and Adobe XD.
  • Ensuring show strategy and timeline are constantly updated and deadlines are met.
  • Ensuring promotions responses are monitored.
  • Keeping an updated file of promotions.
  • Building and creating e-marketing campaigns in adobe campaign.
  • Helping the marketing manager manage the email list.
  • Updating online marketing manuals.
  • Assisting in producing post show report analysing response to all promotional activity.
  • Liaising with external clients such as registration company, associations, sponsors, designers,
  • Encouraging exhibitor self-promotion.

What you'll need:

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • To be a creative thinker.
  • Strong administration skills with an eye for detail.
  • To be an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and pro-active individual.
  • To be able to use initiative with the ability to multi-task.
  • To be able to work collaboratively and as part of a team.
  • Possess patience and understanding.
  • To be confident with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to create engaging digital content.
