A growing business that focuses on revolutionising the FMCG sector across a range of globally recognised clients is looking for a Senior Project Manager due to significant client wins. This is a fully remote position with occasional global travel to client sites (Italy, Belgium and Mexico being the current opportunities)
You will play a key role in the development of the business and will take the lead on a variety of projects to plan, install, commission and validate production lines and technical projects for client facilities. Clients include major multinational brands who are truly household names. You will work as part of a small team with Engineers and other Managers as well as liaising closely with stakeholders and third-party suppliers across a range of disciplines including 3D scanning/visualisation and technical designers.
This role will suit someone with a proven track record of working on projects ranging from £5-£40m budgets and who enjoys a varied and flexible work-life balance. This role is all about autonomy and about making the best possible solutions for the clients through creative and pro-active communication and problem solving.
What you'll do as Senior Project Manager:
- Management of the Full Project Lifecycle: scope, team leadership, schedule, communications, cost, risk, quality, procurement, HSE
- Documentation: User Requirements Documents and ensure they are clearly communicated, understood and complied with
- Presentation: Participate in meetings
- Stakeholder Management: Write and present regular updates to stakeholders
- Organisation and Management: Coordinate and attend (if necessary) Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) of equipment at suppliers
- Coordinate the installation on site and ensure its accuracy
- Coordinate and supervise the commissioning on site up to Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and production start up
- Health and Safety: Follow HSE regulations and rules
- Training: Arrange technician and operator training
We're looking for a Senior Project Manager with:
- A proven track record of delivering complex end-to-end projects from scoping to full implementation and support withing FMCG (primarily food/drink/dairy), Production lines, Packaging and new factory construction
- Expertise in equipment and production line integration, installation and commissioning – preferably within filling and packaging lines.
- Experience in preparing bids and tenders
- Ability to work in a consultancy, putting different hats on and managing stakeholders
- Industry-accepted Project Management Certification
- Degree-level education or equivalent commercial experience
- 1st Class Communication skills both written and verbal (primarily in English, other language skills would be looked upon favourably)
- Valid Passport (UK Or relevant EU country)
In return, you will receive a salary of up to £65,000 per annum plus pension as well as significant opportunity for career progression as the company grows.
