Our client is a growing SME business that is looking for a Financial Reporting Analyst to be responsible for internal and external management information data and stakeholder reporting, working closely with the finance team and regional business teams.

This is a full time permanent position and would suit a part qualified accountant who has experience using a variety of systems.

Financial Reporting Analyst - About The Role

This role will report into the Management Information and Finance Manager and will involve gathering, validating and submitting MI data from various sources using a range of tools and presenting the outputs in clear and meaningful reports to strict deadlines.

Key responsibilities:

  • Issue MI stakeholder reporting and submission timetables, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Extract and validate MI data from CRM and finance systems
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end MI data submissions
  • Prepare performance reports and presentations for regional heads, providing financial commentaries
  • Develop and automate MI reports as needed
  • Assist with forecasting
  • Strengthen internal controls over data collection and quality and reporting
  • Drive improvements in MI processes and systems
  • Act as the main contact for reporting requirements
  • Assist with the annual audit process

The successful Financial Reporting Analyst will have/be:

  • Part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA)
  • Good organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Confident learning and using a variety of systems (MS Power Pivot / Power BI, CRM, ERP)
  • Strong Excel and Word skills
  • Detailed oriented, accurate and experienced in validation checks
  • Strong analytical skills
