Job Opportunity: Interim Accountant in Cornwall
Position: Interim Accountant
Type: Full-time, Temporary Contract (Minimum three-month term)
Rate: £250+ per day via Umbrella (flexible for candidates with NetSuite/Retail experience)
Start Date: Monday, 17th June 2024
Location: Cornwall, TR postcode (Hybrid basis - 2 days per week in the office)
Reporting to: CFO
- *Having experience with NetSuite and a background in retail would be highly advantageous**
About the Role: This position is a key member of the finance team, covering essential month-end and finance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of specific month-end duties, including the monthly preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist the accounts payable lead with timely and accurate processing of non-stock spend and employee expense reimbursement.
- Provide additional support to the Financial Controller with P&L month-end close tasks to ensure a smooth and timely close process (five working days).
- Assist with the preparation of month-end management accounts and Board reporting packs.
- Support the preparation of monthly cost-centre and departmental reporting.
- Work closely with the Technology Lead to identify and eliminate system integration issues.
- Proactively assist the Financial Controller to identify areas for process improvements and enhanced control procedures to eliminate risk and drive efficiencies.
What You Need:
- Experienced Accountant (Qualified, QBE, or Part Qual).
- Relevant experience in a multi-channel retail business preferred.
- Proficient in NetSuite preferred.
