GSL is looking for a Learning Support Assistant

GSL Education is thrilled to offer an opportunity for a passionate Learning Support Assistant in Feltham. With competitive pay rates ranging from £90 to £110 per day, this role is ideal for someone dedicated to supporting students' educational and personal development.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be integral to the academic success and well-being of students. Your responsibilities will include providing individual and group support, assisting teachers with classroom activities, and ensuring that all students have access to learning opportunities. A successful Learning Support Assistant will collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create an inclusive and positive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students.
  • Assist in the preparation and organisation of classroom materials and resources.
  • Facilitate student engagement and participation in classroom activities.
  • Support students in developing social and communication skills.
  • Help students with special educational needs to understand and complete their tasks.
  • Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events to support student development.
  • Helping children prepare for activities, such as Physical Education (PE).
  • Supervising pupils in the playground.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to supporting student development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Current enhanced DBS or willingness to apply for a new one.
