Are you interested in supporting SEN children in Primary School mainstream education? Do you understand how to support varying degree SEN needs?

Your local Primary school needs a SEMH Teaching Assistant, as they are expecting more students attend their school in September 2024. Some students deal with vary SEN needs, from dyslexia, ADHD, autism and motor function needs.

Responsibilities of the Newbury SEMH Teaching Assistant:

  • To teach the KS2 (Year 4 students) in Numeracy, Literacy, Science and wider classroom lessons.
  • Liaise with the KS2 Class Teacher with student reports, and general communication with parents/guardians.
  • Provide SEN 1:1 or classroom assistance to the KS2 students, this will communicated.
  • Monitor the Newbury, West Berkshire for SEN requirement and wider mental health needs.

Schedule:

  • Full time 08:30am - 3:30pm
  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends (term time only)

Experience:

  • SEN/SEMH: 1 year (preferred)
  • UK based Teaching assistant roles: 1 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
  • Degree 2:1 in Psychology (preferred)
